The short version

We collect only what we need to answer your question and serve you as a client. We don’t sell your information. Sensitive tax information is collected only through our secure client portal, never through this website.

What this website collects

  • Inquiry form: your name, email address, whether you’re an individual or business owner, and your general question.
  • Email: whatever you choose to send us. Please keep it general.
  • Newsletter: if you join our email list, your signup is handled by our email provider, Flodesk, under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe anytime.

What we never collect through this website

Social Security numbers, tax returns, tax forms, bank or card numbers, or other sensitive financial records. Our form actively blocks submissions that look like they contain these numbers. If you send them anyway, we’ll delete them and ask you to use the client portal instead.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your inquiry and explain next steps
  • To provide tax preparation services you engage us for
  • To send occasional updates, only if you opt in

Tax return information

Information you provide for tax preparation is protected by federal law, including Internal Revenue Code Section 7216. We don’t use or disclose your tax return information for any purpose other than preparing your return unless you give specific written consent. Client files are handled under our written information security plan, consistent with the FTC Safeguards Rule.

Who we share with

Only service providers that help us run the practice (for example, our form handler, secure portal, and tax software), and only as needed to provide our services. We don’t sell or rent personal information.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that don’t become client engagements are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for the period required by law and professional standards, then securely destroyed.
